I have a Dell 17R SE (77200)

It has 2 HDD slots, I'm planning on replacing the OS disk with a SSD the next time there are good offers.

However, SSD's seem to be 7mm and my HDD's are 9.5 mm

Any challenges in installing a 7mm SSD in a 9.5mm bay?

SSD's usually come with an adaptor of some sort which you have to stick onto the SSD and this increases the SSDS height to 9.5mm

Even the SSD's bought using Flipkart\Amazon,etc?

I believe the "laptop kit" packages available internationally come with them, but Indian sites do not mention them much\at all

My bad. My Crucial M500 came with it, but it was bought from Amazon.com

Don't bother much if you don't get the adaptor. Just cut 2 strips of those long sim card holder and attach to the base of the ssd and you will be fine. Even a pieced of thin foam or cardboard will serve the purpose. But make sure it isn't metal.
