hi guys
did some research on google n saw the sticky thread also ..but dint get my answer... so posting thread

my pc consumes 370 watts roughly(including my 15"LCD on load )
n after going though VA n Watt relation i came to know tat power factor plays an important role...
0.6 power factor means 60% of the VA(input) can be converted into Watts (output)
correct me if i m wrong

tat means 600va would give you only 360W output..

so do i hv to buy 650VA or above for just 10W...

i wont mind if UPS give me just 2 min backup...its enough to save my work n switch it off

550 amd unlocked
790 128m mobo
4GB ram
1 HDD
1 Drive
HD4850
15"CRT (lol)

A 650VA APC should be a good bet.

A 650VA rated UPS should be able to sustain a load of ~ 390-400W.
