I need to buy a PS3 from the US and some games please suggest.

Will the PS3 bought from the US work in India
What about warranty?
Do I need a power converter?

What accessories i need to buy?

WIll it work on my 22 Inch LCD computer monitor? Do i need adapter cables?

What is the best deal currently for PS3 (BestBuy,New Egg,Amazon,Walmart)

Is it cheaper to buy games in India than in US?
Suggest some good games

-What genre of games appeal to you? Racing sims, action-adventure, hack-n-slash, role playing, FPS?

-Yes it would work. Although the blu-ray movies are region coded. In which case, you will have to buy blu-ray movies from the US or alternately the countries which comes under the same region code.

-You will not get warranty for the console in India but US.

-You do not need a power converter. The PS3 can take 110v/230v inputs.

-What accessories would you need? There are few in the market such as the blu-ray remote, additional dual-shock controllers, wireless keypad which attaches to the DS3 controller, guitars for rock-band/guitar hero 5 games etc.

-Does your LCD have a HDMI input? If yes buy an HDMI cable and use it. Or does your LCD support DVI over HDCP? If yes, you can buy a HDMI to DVI adapter/cable and use it. If there are none, you can use a HDMI to VGA adapter and use it although the PQ will suffer a bit.

-Whatever is the cheapest for the 120GB slim - please do a search! MSRP in the US IINM is 299USD.

-Yes. Most games sold in India retails cheaper than it does in the US.

Alright i bought the following 3 From Walmart. for 65 bucks

Drake's Fortune 2
Infamous
Gran Tourismo Prologue

Are there any gamers out there in Mumbai who can get together and play?
I will be in town from 20th.

^Why would you want to when it retails in India for just 17k for the 120GB model? And you get warranty as well.
