Boot failure detected error

After building PC (2 months ago), I tried to change xmp profile since I have two 3600mhz 8gb hyperx RAM's. But is showed boot failure detected and blue screen error too, so I freaked out and didn't even think about trying it again... My friend tried the same and there was no display, then we reinserted the RAM like 3 to 4 times, it then became normal... What's the problem and where was I wrong?

There is a software for the motherboard and I can change xmp profile there it seems... Should I give it a try?

1. For an optimum dual-channel configuration, you should first populate A1 and B1 slots instead of the A2-B2 ones.
2. You're still using the first launch release of the BIOS, which lacks of many post-release optimizations. The latest official BIOS for your motherboard (Gigabyte B560M DS3H AC rev. 1.0) is F4, so download and flash it before attempting to play with the XMP settings.

Thanks mate... I'll try this and update u...just now noticing that I'm in an older version... I have this "all-in-one" kinda software from gigabyte that will update all the drivers and bios if any update is available, I checked it like a week back for updates, it didn't show anything...

Hey updated the bios and changed the slots to a1 and b1, entered the bios and tried changing the xmp profile...it's still showing boot failure detected if I change the xmp profile to 1(3600mhz)... Then I tried the same using gigabyte software, it showed the same error, so I selected profile 2 (3000mhz) next time... it rebooted successfully and the software shows that profile 2 is enabled but nzxt software is still showing 1200mhz

  • NZXT CAM usually displays the base clock speed of the RAM module. It has to be multiplied by 2 on all double data rate (DDR) platforms.
  • I guess you're using Gigabyte Easy Tune to control the BIOS parameters. Such software packages work by reading and modifying the NVRAM values, which isn't at all a reliable method under a high-level OS like Windows. Try to stick with the internal settings of the BIOS, modify the values, reboot, and monitor the stability to choose the optimum custom configuration.
