I sincerely thank @desiibond @Fenix @YeAhx for their insightful inputs regarding sizing of cooler and the case airflow condition required for best overall performance.

Going thru' the link of the Peerless assassin shared by iBose / Mann, I also found the Phantom Spirit 120 Evo, and checked its review at HW Canucks (luckily released just yesterday). While not so good at lower noise levels, the higher peak revs of the fan make it GOOD at max speed. Further, its aesthetics are also spot-ON in black, perfectly complementing my all black X570 Unify Board.

On the topic of aesthetics of the Noctua, my sight is on the Chromax.Black, so the ugly brown is not in the picture.

Now I'm more confused, with the Phantom Spirit EVO throwing a spanner in the works!!!
Noctua be like - hold my beer.
Go black with Noctua.

Another thing that I learnt about the Noctua yesterday is its offset mounting kit for AM5 - bringing the core of the contact plate above the Compute Chiplets and giving better thermals.

Given that this purchase IS a wishlist item, and also a bit of a splurge for a gift-myself thing, I think I'll go for the Noctua Chromax Black!

Currently it will be used in an open-air chassis.
Later, it will be transitioned to my ancient, but still rock solid COoler Master HAF 932 cabinet (THE OG high airflow case with 3x 200mm and 1x 140mm fans, with space for more!!)

Yeah, I forgot to tell you that I bought a thermaltake contact frame. Though I am using 14th Gen Intel but I am happy with the purchase.

Well, the Noctua leads 8 to 5 in votes, but today, a left field decision almost happened.

Had the chance to get a Scythe Mugen 6. Because the black edition (aesthetics+ double fan higher performance) wasn't available, didn't do so. But the Mugen 6 Black Edition is sure on the list now!!!
Where did you find a Mugen 6? They aren't available in India, AFAIK.

Summer has hit north India like a runaway train!!!
My CPU is boiling when running any intensive game.
The price of NH-D15 Chromax.Black dropped to the lowest I have seen on PrimeABGB, so I ordered it. Got another 2% off vide UPI.
Now just waiting for them to verify payment and confirm the order (seems like a standard operating procedure for them, should be OK).

EDIT: Got confirmation of order now!

Late but hey. The Noctua needs decent airflow, I have one in a HEDT, it struggles with the poor choice of case I've made so I've had to remove to the side panel, even with dual Arctic 120s as intake.

I would have suggested the Deepcool for aesthetics heavier weight (more heatsinking ability) and but a Chromax Noctua is pretty good.

Adding to what @desiibond said, I have 11 fans running in my cabinet - Enthoo Pro II. Artic 120's - non RGB (silent ones) plus the AK620 Digital with side panel closed. That too keeps the temps under control.
I have the same case with 4+1 arctic p12 + ag620, what are your stock temp and do the extra fans make big difference? I'm holding out for a itx build as a second system to be cooled with aio hence haven't filled the case with insane amount for fans it can fit

The 14700KF runs cool in early 70s while gaming or anything else.
