will depend on what you wanna do with your system.
You will hardly notice any difference in day to day work, surfing, movie watching etc.
Even in games, if you buy a discrete graphic card, difference would be very less with obvious advantage to Intel combo but not really day and light difference.
On the other hand if you do lots of AV encoding work, 3D work intel combo will have significant advantage.

What funky said is absolutely correct. But do keep in mind that intel is going to cut prices on its processors on the 20th of april. Also it plans to bring the E4700 which works at 2.6ghz to the E4500 price point. 400mhz means a lot of difference in performance when it comes to the c2d.
