Folks, I need to avail of a wireless internet service provider in Mangalore for my dad. I can subscribe to either of two service providers i.e. Airtel or Reliance. Apparently, they have some corporate offers for employees of the company that I work in.
W.r.t. Reliance, when my father-in-law attempted to avail of their service in Mangalore, he was told that Reliance NetConnect is shutting down in Mangalore. I'm really not sure what this means. Are they only not accepting new applications or are they completely shutting down their operations? - I have no idea on this.
My father-in-law then availed of Tata Photon Plus whose performance can only be described as pathetic with his brand new Windows 8.1 laptop(was much better though with my Win 7 company laptop).
Can any of you folks in Mangalore share your experience with either Airtel or Reliance NetConnect? How are the browsing speeds? How is the signal strength? Also, is Airtel 4G available in Mangalore and does it work?
