I have a Sony P & S cam which shoots videos in the AVCHD format.I'm unable to see these files when I connect my cam to the Macbook pro in the USB mode.Is there a program which enables Mac OS X Lion to see these files ?

I generally use VLC to play video files but I am unable to point the media player to an unseen file !

Isnt AVCHD format simply a folder structure..AFAIK, you will find the video files inside the AVCHD folder structure here

AVCHD->BDMV->STREAM->files...

Yup! And the files will have the mts extension. An example : 20120107211917.MTS --> Means the video was shot on 07/01/2012, @21:19:17

Try to get a card reader and see the files

Yes,in desperation,I pulled out the SD card and stuck it into the card slot on the Mac and...success! Thanks guys
