CPU/Mobo AMD Athlon II X2 245 vs Intel E5400 review !

It can be seen that Athlon II X2 240 lags behind Pentium E5300 in some tests.However,its advantages are shown in most cases,especially in game,HD and vedio encoding. In a word,Athlon II X2 240 defeat Pentium E5300 successfully.

As for Athlon II X2 245, it has similar results with 240.In fact, we can find Athlon II X2 240 is able to compete against with Pentium E5400,let alone Athlon II X2 245.

It is inferred that 45nm dual-core Athlon II X2 should be accepted by most consumers from power consumption perspective.In addition, Athlon II X2 also supports virtual technology.

Apart from performance,price is one crucial factor. Athlon II X2 245/240 gets the upper hand with the price mark of about $74, $ 67 respectively.

Bad Thing is It's A Little late.... :(

But all we can say is Better be late than NEVER....... ;)

Horrible overclocking results currently with X2 5600+ :ashamed: well waiting to get my hands on Athlon II X2 245/240.According to ASUS this board supports AM3 and 45nm Phenomâ„¢ II CPU .

If this board becomes readily available for 4k or less locally, the era of Gigabyte G31+E5200/E7400, and infact the socket 775 is over for good.

hw cheap is A2 250 when it is 5k??!...everyone will be interested in spending a little more and getting a PII 550BE

It should be around ~3.8 -4k ? I don't think they will decide to put it anywhere near X2 550 .Else it will be a failure :p

The newer Athlon II Quad @ 45W TDP sound greats .. I hope they perform even better, atleast on the level of unlocked X4 B50 :p

In S.P. Road, there is a gap of ~1k in the prices of 550 & 250 which means its just fine and will work out well. And it won't be a failure based on pricing...:cool2:
