Final Thoughts--Nice movie ......7.5/10

The Eye 3
Plot
The movie proper finds those young adults enjoying a holiday and visiting old friends in Thailand; a friendly round of ghost stories leads to Chongkwai (Ray MacDonald) hauling out an old book he found in a mysterious shop a while back. The book tells of the ten ways a person can see ghosts - just the sort of thing these kids want to spice up their night of out-spooking each other. The first two of the fabled "Ten Encounters" involve the plots from the first two "Eye" movies, a conveniently cheap way of tying things together, even if there's zero logic in having a book offer simple solutions to spotting spirits include "get a cornea transplant."
The group skips to the other eight examples, starting off with a Ouija board, then a game involving chopsticks and bowls (to attract hungry ghosts), a round of hide and seek at midnight (don't ask), and then - how unsanitary! - rubbing dirt from a grave into your eyes. These last two go horribly wrong (it's all fun and games until someone gets graveyard dirt in her eye), but Chongkwai's mother (Pisamai Pakdeevijit) knows there's no stopping what they've started, and the curse will follow them back to Hong Kong, then back again to Thailand as the remaining few become desperate to save themselves.

The imperial Omura cabinet's first priority is to repress a rebellion of traditionalist Samurai -hereditary warriors- who remain devoted to the sacred dynasty but reject the Westernizing policy and even refuse firearms. Yet when his ill-prepared superior force sets out too soon, their panic allows the sword-wielding samurai to crush them. Badly wounded Algren's courageous stand makes the samurai leader Katsumoto spare his life; once nursed to health he learns to know and respect the old Japanese way, and participates as advisor in Katsumoto's failed attempt to save the Bushido tradition, but Omura gets repressive laws enacted- he must now choose to honor his loyalty to one of the embittered sides when the conflict returns to the battlefield...

yaar.. really .. is sch a thread required ??

shdnt sch stuff be there on FE ..??? i avoid FE cuz of all this only.

How many times will we have a debate over this. To make things clear once again , TE and FE are two completely independent sites. If a TE member needs to chill out and have a Non-tech discussion , he is not required to login to FE to do so. General talk section was created for exactly serving this very purpose. If a particular topic does not interest you , its best to keep away from that thread rather then unnecessarily criticizing the Thread starter and ruining the thread by posting crap. No offense meant :)

some of them are best..forget many good movies..out of memory now....

Dude I can understand if you like movies like I am Legend , The ruin , Van helsing and doomsday but to name them in your Top 10 list is absurd. Then again maybe you haven't seen many quality movies. :)

Anyways here is my List. It was really difficult to choose a Top 10 list , there are so many good movies out there but still i tried my best , I am posting here my Top 20 movies instead. I still had to leave a lot of good movies though.

#20. Superbad

#19. Stand By Me

#18. Sincity

#17. Cloverfield

#16. Saving Private Ryan

#15. Godfather 2

#14. The Notebook

#06. Kill Bill

#05. Kill Bill 2

#04. 12 Angry Men

#03. The Godfather

#02. The Shawshank Redemption

#01. The Green Mile

SAW I & II are excellent movies.I liked "I am Legend" More due to Will Smith acting.

I don't think you can categorize the SAW series under the Horror genre. Its a suspense thriller with a lot of gore in it.

There are plenty of good comedy movies out there , to name a few :

Superbad

Wedding Crashers

American Beauty

Meet the parents

Meet the fockers

40 year old virgin

Knocked up

Harold and Kumar 1 & 2

American Pie 1 & 2 ( Rest were crap)

School of Rock

Clerks 1 & 2

Mallrats

Chasing amy

Dogma

Jay and silent bob strike back

The break up

Jackass 1 & 2

Talladega Nights

Borat

Night At The Museum

Get Shorty

The Big Lebowski

I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry

and many more.......

As far as the action movies go ... No list can be complete without Kill Bill 1 & 2.

I love the Mystery/suspense/thriller genre as well. Some of my favorite movies in this genre are :

12 Monkeys

Se7en

The usual suspects

Memento

Fight club

The Prestige

The Illusionist

Signs

Sixth sense

Unbreakable

Village

Lady in the water

The Butterfly effect 1 & 2

Pitch black

Donie darko

Panic room

Rear window

A Beautiful Mind

Disturbia

No Matrix fans here ? .......the movie deserves a place here I guess.....

Apart from the matrix, I loved The following very much

The Shawshank Redemption

Schindler's List

Forrest Gump

Vanilla Sky

The Bucket List

Braveheart

Love Actually

The Prestige

The Pursuit of Happyness

The Man From Earth

The Pianist

Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind

Catch Me If You Can

Cinderella Man

Finding Nemo

PS: I absolutely hated Kill Bill and its sequel ........I don't understand how so many ppl love it so much... may well be the most gory movies ever.

^That was the beauty of Kill bill , the action although gory was done with amazing style. First time I saw a female lead kick some serious butt. Quentin Tarantino is a Genius when it comes to directing action movies :D

Terminator 2: Judgement Day

The Terminal

K lets see hw many I remember;

The Shawshank Redemption

Godfather Trilogy

Fight Club

The Departed

Duh, too may of them; it just keeps coming; :|

The Departed

Borat FTW..

Many many movies..Black hawk down was cool..
Ratatoulie is cool too..

Seen many many,, but those i cna remember hav already been listed..

Here are my fav ten

1- Age of Innocence: A romance-drama set in early 19th century US. Directed by Martin Scorsese, the movie is on this list because its sheer brilliance in creating the mood of an era bygone and yet stay relevant to all the ages by capturing a slice of the stuff of which we are made. A must if you have ever fallen in love.

2- Taxi Driver: Again by Martin Scorsese. It finds a place on this list because this is an study into how a young man snaps coz he "can't take it anymore".

3- Clockwork Orange: What is morality? Go watch it in action

4- One Flew Over Cockoo's Nest: Give a woman power over others and see what she can do. Ever wondered who is mad or who is not? You are not the only one.

5- Fight Club: Boring job, sad cubicles, faces painted with sorrow... It's pay back time.

6- Titanic: A romance at sea that goes beyond the plain grandeur

7- Matrix (First movie): What we see may not be real but definitely it is breathtaking

8- Ratatouille: Coming of age for the toons

9- Babel: Above the cacophony of thousand voices, we all speak in one language.

10- Godfather (first one): Go grab your chance. Destiny awaits you. No I am not talking about third son of Don Vito Corleone. It's Francis Ford Coppola I speak about.

Cheers!
