a Seagate 400GB HDD costs around 6K all inclusive in Bangalore. You might get it for less on S.P. Road. That too with local warranty. So yeah..maybe it wasn't such a great deal but I don't think Toshiba HDDs are available in India.
And Toshiba's stuff is generally expensive I guess cuz it's japanese. But I don't really know why.
