17" laptop

What companies should I look at for a 17" desktop replacement laptop.Budget could vary(although Alienware is too expensive!)I would like at least an i5 processor as I do a lot of media conversions..etc.

+ 1 for the Vaio. Plus, I believe that the Vaio is a much better deal as compared to Toshiba considering brand value and ASS.

hey there brother. i do have an HP 17 inch laptop with a SUPER 12 cell add on battery. It's in absolutely immaculate condition and I am going to put it up for sale.

You could end up getting it for, say, half the price that you intend to spend on the laptop. The rest could be spent on 'other stuff' ;-)
