10k Candy Bar!!

As the titles goes,requirements are:

type: candy bar/ classic

price:10k or below

conditions: atleast 2.2' screen

super smooth keypad(texting freak)

display atleast 256k colors(want to have snazzy wall papers)

looks cool even if not head turner(dont want it stolen just coz of looks)

cam:not a decision maker

battery: should last pretty long

3.5 jack,3G would be a nice addition but not urgent!!

my unique condition is that i text at times holding phone in one hand and messaging with the same,so size does matter.

should not be bulky as i prefer it easy through my pockets!!

I have owned both the above mentioned models and I can safely say both are good phones but try to get the ones which are NOT made in China.

Nokia has the N73

There are loads of candy bars within 10k.

Do specify your requirements a bit more accurately--do tell us if you need a good 3.2/5mp camera or 3.5mm jack for normal headphones or 3G.

have specified more requirements!!

wouldnt want bulky sets or sliders/camshells!!

i did have a look at the nokia C5 and X2.

not sure about other brands,all are free to pour in opinions but please know that i need awesome keypads!!

i dont mind cheaper handsets but max is 10k!!

nokai x3 is a good choice but its slider

5130XM-VFM but felt the keypad was a tad harder to press for fluent messaging!!

2700 and C5 is still under considerations-do give more feedback on these

and any other brands at a similar price range satisfying my requirements?

I own the nokia 6303c

the phone is extremely well built--stainless steel body panel.

+ve points:

Excellent sound quality

3.5mm jack

-ve points:

3.2mp camera is strictly average

symbian s40

no 3g

as of now its the Nokia 6303c and C5

i did read reviews that the 6303c had the ringtone volume affected when kept flat on back due to placement of speakers.

this was a downer for me in choosing the 5130XM !!

would like to know how the tactile feel of the keypad in 6303..

i did check out the C5 and the keypad was just awesome!!

any other brands also welcome to join the race...

bro i am using the e63
infact all posts in the last month here by me were from my phone
also its got the best nokia battery a big 1500mah!!!
While two handed is better there is no problem at all single handed
this post was typed single handed in a swaying train :) :)
at least give it a look-try

try out the SE Elm... its Rs.500 over ur budget but the features r just too god to pass on...3g, wi-fi, 5mp cam with flash... has ergonomic design for better grip while texting... should be good 4 u

Im also looking to buy one around 10k.Elm sounds like a good choice.

Elm is gr8 but i think if SE brought the price down by atleast 1.5-2k thn it would be the only piece within 10k to have all the features of a high end phone...also a gr8 phone for those not looking for tough screen, or qwerty keypad phone... it wld give C5 a run for its money...
