@yashbhatt thanks for the tip data enabled was checked but still was not showing any signs of connectivity.. then moved I to APN settings and did a 'reset to default' and voila i got connected.. thanks for the help people android requires a lot of R&D just starting to scratch the surface here...

need help... android noob here.. got my defy around 2 months back, i turned off my gprs settings then now i need to turn it back on but im not able to figure it out. i changed the data manager settings also but no use, still not able to remember what did i do to switch off the gprs settings...

activa the only turn off is the waiting period. also consider wego.

I'm loving it... for the first 3 months i got 2mbps and now this night plan. happy i moved from airtel to mtnl. i think mtnl is keeping every broadband provider in mumbai on their toes.

is defy's battery life bad, coz apparently my defy's battery does not last more than 20hr after minimal usage i don't use any wifi bluetooth or any other wireless connection. my usage is maz 2hrs gaming and listening to music. calls for about an hr in an entire day. i don't knw what the problem...
