Though it is a powerful avr but lacks today's basic requirements i.e., hdmi and hd decoding. If you reconsider the pricing, you can sell it quickly. Just a suggestion. Good luck mate.

It does have optical input which most of the TV's, Bluray players and consoles support but yes, it lacks all the bells and whistles that today's AV's support

Could you suggest a reasonable price for this AV ?

If I am reading this right, it was purchased in 1999. That is ancient relic category. Maybe it is now considered a collector's item. :p
i read that too but the purchase date shows 2013 in the same post.
used one for same model goes around 100$ and below. this will work from someone who wants to build a very budget 5.1 system and a sound card based setup to decode current audio formats but not at the asking price, around 6-7k at best.
given its near 10 year old even from 2013 it might just go off anytime.

plus it wont beat a 10k used stereo amp for sound quality.

Around 5-6k or you can use it as a power amp.
pre-amp yes but not power amp, it will do its own processing and the volume control will still be active.
it does show multichannel input, which might work for pure power-amp mode but unsure if it will bypass the complete circuitry as such.

but yeah for your quoted price can be utilized.
