Hi Guys,

I am planning to get my dad a phone under 10k.

He is using a Pantech Burst, so want something that is an upgrade to the existing phone. With all these awesome phones like the Moto g and the counterparts. I was a bit confused which phone to get.

Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Shortlisted phone:
Moto G 16gb (With SBI 10% cashback it comes under my budget)

ya moto g will be a good option..if u can increase your budget a bit and get mi3..then its will be great for u and him

Bro, I have ordered the Mi3 already. I am pretty sure my dad would not be comfortable with the size of the phone. And getting one is a pain in the butt! Although thanks for the suggestion. Will give it a thought.

Leave out the crappy indian brands, especially if its for parents. Windows phone is also an alternative with a few good options sub 10k. If not, Moto G is the best. My dad has been using it too. He's okay with it.

I would recommend Nokia Lumia Win phones. Should be easy on your father. My uncle uses it and has got accustomed with it in 2 days.
Earlier he used Pantech and Samsung S Duos.

Windows phone are outdated now... better to shift to android...

How can you say that bro... In fact Indian brands understand the needs of the customers and make devices fit for them... services are also good...

Windows Phone will never be out of date as long as Windows (OS) exists AFAIT.

In Windows there is a lack of media and apps... And some of the apps that are there are not official, being made by third-party software makers....

I think its all about personal experience... My friend is quite satisfied with the services being offered by Indian brand Lava...

Most of the android apps are available in Windows phone too. Yes every thing won't be available. I own lumia 925 and I have a nexus 7 too.
I think windows is good too.
