ACT broadband plans feedback in bangalore

I am on the Airtel 8 mbps plan for 1399 currently and am thinking of switching to ACT broadband. With their ACT indulge plan I get 25Mbps connection at the same price and same FUP limit of 60GB.

How is the service in Bangalore and is it worth shifting over?
 
I am sure you haven't changed your ISP. ACT broadband was initially good with good plans and support. Present situation is really pathetic and with their new policies for bangalore city, many of the bangaloreans call it the EVIL ISP just like airtel.

The company has seriously ruined its reputation which was earlier VALUE FOR MONEY and now its Worst with just 20-30% FUP advantage over Craptel. oh yeah Bad lazy service. Sigh.
 
I took an ACT connection last month. During this time, connection was down for 1 week. When connection is down, ACT is not responsive and customer care is hard to reach. Otherwise the connection is good.

If you take ACT, make sure you have a backup until you can check the reliability in your area.
 
^ 1 Week of downtime = almost <80% of uptime for that month. Clearly violates TRAI rule of 98% minimum uptime. You should get compensated for one week.

Dunno where you facing ACT downtime problems .. But last time I faced was probably 2 months back and was notified beforehand that connection will be down for 24 hours .. Cc is reasonable too .. Have got immediate response for my issues also..
 
I am using Act for about an year now and I have faced like 3 downtimes in all and the duration was around 8 hrs in total. Not bad at all. The customer care did respond and provided updates whenever I contacted them.

I live in AECS layout. I guess private ISP's like this have varied reviews at different places/localities.
 
ACT broadband facebook page, users are saying that they are seeing different plan name which is not even listen on website. Even you should be check the portal for plan name.
