English TV series discussion

I am subscribed to the minimalistic pack on my DTH so I don't get lot of channels but here is Mumbai I have all the channels. As surprised to see that even latest serials like under the dome are telecast almost on par with US airing.

Yes I'm done too , eager to see the first episode of Season 5[DOUBLEPOST=1376050923][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yeah Season 4 is really opening lot of things last night i saw Episode 16 and it showed a lot this season is also about how good a actor Dean is.

Oh absolutely! Dean (Jensen Ackles) is a superb actor. I figured that out pretty early on and then I saw episode 22 of season 2, which pretty much proved he has tremendous potential.

Remember the scene where Sam gets stabbed in the back by Jake and he dies. Dean sits there and tells him how he was supposed to protect him. That was a really powerful moment

@Ethan_Hunt @dinjo I am done with the Finale of Season 4 of Supernatural. You have got to watch that.

That's great. I completed season 2 last night and already started season 3. Quite pleased with the turn of events, except for Dean's 1 year deal.

Yeah he is a great actor. I like his voice too. I like how he makes fun in serious situations. :)

Don't worry too much about the deal ;)

Luther done and dusted. S3 finale was amazing - I just loved Ruth Wilson in this episode (and the show overall). This lady has a sense of charm associated with her.

Next up - Justified! :p

@Ethan_Hunt @dinjo
I started with the Season 5 of Supernatural yesterday. Done with 3 episodes. Looks even more interesting, especially things between Dean and Sammy.

Excellent! Fans say it goes downhill after this season, so do keep us posted on how it pans out.

Anyway, just finished Luther's 3rd season and I can't believe how BBC manages to top every show's season finale with such exuberance. Alice, you just had to steal the show, didn't you? This is the second time in a row you have managed to create an impact with such minimal screen presence. Hats off to you!
Can't believe they killed Justin. Bloody hell! That was a real shocker.
I guess that's why the British shows are more hard hitting. You think you are able to predict what will happen next and BAM, you get hit with something unexpected. Loved the OST in the last scene. Classic stuff!

yeah sure thing. :)

Finally completed the first season of Hannibal. There was quite a gap between watching some episodes, but I managed to cover it up over this weekend. The finale was quite good. I'm really pleased with the level of detail they provided for the gore on this show, makes Dexter look like a pissant. Hope to see more of it in the second season.

Breaking Bad Resumes!

Jesse Pinkman Didn't Die.. YO!

He's throwing money all over the Streets!! :wtf:

Hank came to know that Walter is Heisenberg.

No more Spoilers.. Sorry!!

Completed 5 episodes of Justified and OMG! Timothy Olyphant is amazing!

This guy couldn't act in movies. I wonder how he pulled off such a role in a TV serial.

Doesn't look like you saw the new episode.

I binged S01 this weekend as well .. The level of Gore and psychosis makes dexter looks amateur ..

I am not entirely familiar with Hannibal-verse but am able to put together pieces from the earlier movies ..

The Cinematography is excellent and the sound effect are simply the best aspect of the show ..

The mixture of natural ambient sounds and artificial generated noise serves to heighten the tension & creepiness a lot .. One of the best Sound-FX ive heard for a TV Show .. The odd clicking and grinding really makes you uncomfortable ..

The Show panned out quite different from my original expectations.

Cinematography is certainly astounding for a TV show and that too for a national television one. Most of Will's nightmare sequences and that black stag just gives me the chills. The very first scene from the first episode was enough to set the expectations of how bloody this show was going to be, but never did I imagine the amount of gore. Each of the Chesapeake Ripper's victims have been depicted with sheer brutality. The use of accurate make-up effects and props (the human organs specifically) are on a whole other level. Even the smallest of detail like Will cutting open a fish and watching him see the the blood spread, is done in an amazing manner.

You're spot on about the sound effects. It's nerve-wrecking at times.

Not sure if should put this in spoilers or not but the show is a quite off from the books.
In the books - Graham was the one responsible for putting Hannibal behind bars - though he got disfigured. Now in the show he gets arrested for the murders himself. IMO was a move just so that they could add more suspense points next season.
