PS3 Jailbreak - Discussion Thread

Seems like Hitman Absolution is not working on my 4.30 CFW (cannot run operation error).......was using it with the 3.55 eboot fix previously. Other games with the 3.55 eboot fixes seem to be working fine.....

Is the guide in the first post updated to the latest links and steps? I would be attempting the move from 3.55 CFW to 4.30 CFW in a few days.

Also I would be changing the HDD first. Where can I get the 3.55 OFW?

@Renegade: The first post isn't updated with the latest multiMAN and Rogero's firmware. I'll hunt for them after I reach home.

Why do you need OFW ?

Well all the guides that I read say that I have to go back to the OFW on current HDD, replace with new HDD, install OFW again on new HDD and then move on to the CFW.

It usually when you go back and forth from 3.55 - 4.21 then you want to move to 4.30, if you are on 3.55 CFW just go ahead with 4.30 2.05 CFW

I will be needing help from you guys, purchased PS3 80Gb from a friend. When he bought it,it was running on 3.42 and now upgraded to 4.2 or 4.3 i guess.

The first link doesnt seem to work. Has no genuine download links. I am downloading now from another site. Will have to check the file hash info post download.

The 1TB HDD is here and I hope everything goes well :D

Edit - Nuclear bomb defused successfully! :yahoo:

Simple. Uninstall the current one and grab the multiMAN v04.20.00 full CEX package file and install it. This should serve as a complete base file for all the current updates.

ohh thanks a lot!! and one more question what are the significant updates from the prev multiman and also BD movie region change menioned in the update is available in the current multiman too?

I'm not sure which version you were previously using, but mine was a very neanderthal version of miltiMAN which I had installed during my Kmeaw phase. So for me, it was a giant leap when I got the latest bunch of updates. Most notable change is the interface which looks really amazing and is absolutely smooth. Besides that the discless compatibility has increased, accessing NTFS partition is much easier through file manager, games which require firmware above 4.30 can be patched directly at launch, temperatures can now be monitored, PSX games can be loaded and yes, from the recent change-log, it does seems like you can switch Blu-Ray region coding too. So yes, it's miles better than what it was before. I almost have a hard time catching up with it's updates.
