Yesterday only i came to know about this, I really don't know how this has happened but they had updated me that they had received the shipment in damage condition and the content's are missing and then after contacting there Mumbai Hub got a reply from a guy there that the whole BAG yes the whole bag containing many shipments was lost/stolen/damaged in transit from Dubai to Mumbai.

This is the first time i had faced something like that with SNS but the good thing is got a postive reply from Anuradha will update once things are sorted out.
 
Long ago a memory card was stolen from my phone. When I contacted them with supporting documents they promptly sent me a replacement.

But those good old days are gone now.

I received a mail few days ago that SnS is now offering insurance for 1 or 2$ extra over the value of $100. Generally they cover liability upto $100.

Time to opt for insurance now.

the duty will be approx 822 INR and shipping charges are 10 USD for the 1st 500 gms and 8 USD for every additional 500gms and 12.36% service tax on shipping
What would be additional cost if I shop following item from amazon

1. What will be the customs duty for a digital camera of $530USD (LINK)
2. what will be your shipping charges for the same considering the max weight of 1kg (including the camera, accessories, manual, etc....)


Note the shipping will have to: Hyderabad, india

I am very disappointed with the shop and ship service. I ordered 2 sandisk sansa clip plus players and the total invoice was 60USD. it was charged 1000/- as tax. In the same invoice that custom did, for Iphone 4, 400/- tax, Nexus phone 600/- tax and other phone for some 400/- odd. They are all worth over 25k, and It was assessed at that rate.
I wonder how come a 3k value assessed good can go through 1000/- tax? I want you to please check the same.

Also why did you remove the online payment option?

Just had a word with Anuradha regarding the compensation. Was told they`ll compensate only upto $100 and not the full invoiced value ( Rs13600), as i had not opted for the SnS protection service.

This was after confirmation from both Hassan and Anuradha, that they`ll compensate the full invoiced value last week.

They started this protection thing last week and suddenly one of my shipments is lost. A fellow member is affected as well.

I`ve been throughly screwed!

Would appreciate some support and pointers from fellow members who use Shopandship. Fortunately you were not affected by this, but it could very well have been you!

1. Their main explanation for denying liability is that, I hadn`t opted for their protection service. She claims that they started this service on the 4th October and the loss happened after that. Therefore, I`m not eligible for compensation above $100. Shouldn`t they have given customers a bit more time to opt for this service?

2. I was promised by both Hassan and Anuradha that, I`ll be compensated for the full invoiced value after this happened. A fellow member can confirm this.

3. Have i got any legal grounds to pursue this case? Either locally with the Chennai city police or in the US with USPIS. Or should i contact AMEX to deal with this, as i had purchased the item through my credit card.

Would appreciate all your feedback on this case.

Same thing has happened with me, Earlier both Anuradha and hassan has said they will refund us the whole (invoice value) mine is 13060/- and now today they had come up with a new story that u have not opted for the protection service so u are not eligible for that.

My question is when Anuradha and Hassan both had confirmed that SNS will refund the whole amount then why all of a sudden they had changed there mind ? I have mail confirming that I will get the whole invoice value.

Just coz company has started this new protection service for Insurance they can only give 100$ approx 5500INR.

Where as i was told by Anuradha that in the past they had issued a refund for damaged shipment uptill 43k then why not this time ? Just coz we did not pay another 55INR for insurance ?

To top it all when i discussed this with ANuradha over the phone about the claim she said she will discuss it with the Regional Manager and see what can be done.

Lol seriously......10% Discount on all shipments from 1 Nov to 30 Nov ?

So to fulfill my loss off approx 7.5k i will have to buy and ship at-least 120 Shipments thru them, GREAT JOB GUYS.
