#[member='ALPHA17'] I was eagrly waiting for reply.I observed that IPS has way better contrast ratios(just compared Crysis 2) when compared to TN.But i was rather thinking about price and ghosting issuse. But if IPS is worth the money then u2412 should be best.I'am still confused, help me in choosing the best.

Go for the Dell Ultrasharp U2312M ~14500/-, best compromise on both cost as well as overall as value for money.

Hope this helps, Cheers!!

Thanks for that.

Can someone give exact prices for the following components so that i can move or think about the left out components

1)Intel I5-2500k

2)Asus P8Z77

3)G.Skill RIPJAWS X 8Gb

4)NZXT tempest EVO

5)Seagate 1Tb 7200

6)Corsair 750 v2(correct me if I'am wrong)

7)Apc 1.1Kva

8)Dell ultrasharp U2312M

Mention the missed out components.

What is the 10,11,12 numbering on HD like Seagate 160Gb 7200.''10'' is my old HD ,where as my friend has Seagate 1Tb which has diff number.

Where is the graphics card are you going to wait for nVidia Kepler based mid-range series to release?

No CPU cooler I notice?

Okay these are the price listings from Bombay, may not be actual ground realities, may fluctuate between ~500/- -->1500/- depending where you stay and plan to purchase --

Intel I5-2500k ~12500/-

Asus P8Z77-V ~15000/-

G.Skill RIPJAWS X 8Gb ~3400/-

NZXT tempest EVO ~6000/- OR Corsair Carbide 400R ~5500/-

Seagate 1Tb 7200.12 ~5500/- [from DeltaPage.in]

Corsair 750 v2(correct me if I'am wrong), instead of this SMPS, go for the Corsair TX V2 650W ~5500/-

Apc 1.1Kva ~4600/-

Dell ultrasharp U2312M ~14500/-

To this set-up add a CPU cooler on the lines of atleast the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO ~2200/- OR

Noctua NH U12P-SE2 ~3900/- will be a better bet in the long run.
2) What is the 10,11,12 numbering on HD like Seagate 160Gb 7200.''10'' is my old HD ,where as my friend has Seagate 1Tb which has diff number.

This defines the generation of the hard-drive in question, also the firmware also plays a role in this scheme, the 7200 defines the RPM of the platter inside the hard drive.

Hope this helps, Cheers!!

Thanks Alpha17,I'll try to know the prices in Hyderabad too.I'am waiting for the nVidia's kepler based mid-range cards. But i don't think we can expect them available by the time I build my rig(I'll wait till 3rd week of May),if they aren't available then AMD 7870 OC EDITION should be ideal. And Cpu cooler will be bought based on the money that is left in my budget.

Can i get AMD 7870 OC EDITION for 20,000(the amount that would be left after finalizing the rest of the rig) ?

What is the best 7870 oc edition ?

Go for either Sapphire TOXIC Edition OR MSi Twin Frozr III. If you want an exceptionally quiet card, you can also look at the HIS IceQ Turbo edition of the same card for ~22500/- from Hardwire.in.

Prices have fallen ~1500/- -->2000/- for various HD 78** series cards on the same site, so maybe by May prices might be a lot more palatable.

Sorry to go off topic guys, but I didn't want to create a new topic for such a query. I recently purchased the Dell U2311H monitor. Now, from what I know you need the order no. and the 20 digit serial no. to claim warranty. I did find the 20 digit serial no., but where is the order no. given? I know its somewhere on the box but there are so many numbers on the box. How do I know which 1s the order no? Anyone know the format of the order no.?

After a lot of research i came to know that my TV is an IPS panel one,so i can drop to a TN one

atleast. And if drop the display and mobo too then i can get a GTX 680(this card should be enough for multi monitor setup.)

I'll get a Dell 22'' TN monitor. So suggest me a ATX mobo either z68 or z77 with SATA 3,USB 3.0(8-10k)(open to all major brands),i might not require multi gpu support because 1 Gtx 680 should be enough for 3 yrs of lag less gaming.

Also need a mouse and keyboard. All these in a 85+k
