A gaming mouse will suit your needs better for designing too. Look for the ones which have a nice grip and longetivity value, don't worry about the response times.

#girish925 I'm currently using Razer DeathAdder, and it's great. Very good in FPS and Action-Adventure games. I use Photoshop too, and it's precise enough to not be a stumbling block. Other mouses you can look to are Logitech G series ones(G400, G500 etc..), Corsair M60( a very good mouse is what I've heard, though very hard to get).

Have a look at the Logitech G400. My suggestion would be to head to Chroma if there is one where you are and try out different mice before deciding

G400 is within your budget and best at that price range. I am using the same mouse for gaming. It will suffice your needs..

Dear Girish,

Hello Sanket here from CM. You can also try the CM Storm Xornet mouse. It's a claw grip mouse but very comfortable. Currently flipkart is running special promotion where they are offering 36% off. Where are you based? if you could help with that info i can help you with a demo so you know how it feels in hand.

lookwise g300 looks perfect with those lights ..hehehehe will read more reviews n decided bet 400 n 300 ...

Hello Girish, I would recommend you go for the Logitech G400, as it is an easier mouse to master and a palm grip is easier for long term usage vis-à-vis the claw grip of the Logitech G300.

Instead of just reading reviews, go to the local PC shop and try out the different mice on display, you just might find a basic Logitech / Microsoft optical mouse to your liking istead of investing in a gaming mouse exclusively.

Hope this helps, Cheers!!

even i am using mx518 right now..excellent mouse... for designing purposes, i will recommend gaming but full sized mouse.. even i work with photoshop, maya and the likes.. and the mx518 being a mouse on which i can rest my palm, feels very comfortable for long hrs. of usage. .

Yep, G400 seems the right choice now.

#[member='Jakob'] #[member='chiragsthakur'] How would you compare the G400 with DeathAdder? Both for gaming and general designing purposes.

More reliable, similar feature set, more customisable buttons and easier custom software, the G400 is a better mouse in my books.

Razer products are not very reliable and tend to screw up just as their warranty cover expires. Good forbid anything happens to my Lycosa now.
