Budget 21-30k Yet another gaming PC thread - Budget 30K

I looked at the previous threads and user harshilsharma posted the following config which I think is good enough for me.

AMD FX6300 (7200 Snapdeal)
Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P (5,800)
Corsair XMS 4 GB 1600 MHz (3075 Snapdeal)
Sapphire R7 250X 1 GB DDR5 (6500 Flipkart)
Antec VP450P (2,700)
WD Blue 500 GB 7200 RPM HDD (3255 Snapdeal)
Asus DRW 24B3ST DVD R/W (1,000 Flipkart)

(Dont need a monitor)

but this post was back in June 2014, so I just wanted to know if this config is still good enough or is there a better alternative.

The purpose of this PC is to play some FPS games released in the last couple of years, want to finish my backlog.

I had assembled a PC 5 years back, has anything changed in this time

Also look at the following configuration from Intel:
Intel Core i3 4150 Rs.7700
Gigabyte GA-H97M-D3H Rs.7000
Corsair XMS 4 GB 1600 MHz (3075 Snapdeal)
For AMD I suggest getting this: Kingston HyperX Fury Gaming Ram 4GB DDR3 1866 Rs.3200
Increase the capacity of your primary HDD to 1TB (WD Cavair Blue Rs.4200 or Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm Rs.3800)

Thanks guy, I got the same config which I posted except the RAM and HDD. Got Corsair Vengence Ram instead.

Which HDD did you get?

I am using my old HDD for now. Will upgrade later.

Got Mobo, processor from flipkart in 1 day.
