Xiaomi Banned From Importing and Selling Handsets in India

Huawei and ZTE also in line to sue Xiaomi

I think the only way Xiaomi and OnePlus can sell such good specs devices at low cost is because they are not giving royalties to patent holders, what do you guys think?
Xiaomi is going to feel the heat now. A major portion of any phone's price goes to pay for patents, patents held by companies like Ericsson, Nokia etc who pioneered telecommunication. And another portion goes for R&D. Xiaomi does neither but rides free. It's time they pay the due. Let's see if they can sell nexus 5 like device for 13k now.

Surprising to see the haste with which the court acted. If they are so concerned then, the High Court must also ensure that the pricing is reasonable in line with paying capacity of the Indian people, as they did with pharma.

LOL comparing mobiles with pharma is a bit far fetched, u have the option of buying lower priced mobiles, thats not the case with some pharma products thats why pharma prices are regulated

I am sure sales would continue even after Jan 8, court may have been convinced that Note 4G and Mi3 are not in the patent related case.
