Linux Windows XP in Linux Virtualbox requires Antivirus?

Just installed Virtualbox and Win xp inside Ubuntu linux... always wanted to try it and Virtualbox is just awesome.. :D

I want to know if i need an antivirus while using Win XP inside VB? If so wats the choice of av?

I dont want to waste resource inside VB.. and ya i use chrome for browsing from inside VB...
