What is Failtel 4G throttled speed ?

Can some one confirm to what speed does airtel throttle 4G speed after consumption of data pack.

The rep said they throttle to 3G speed which is highly suspicious, considering its failtel.

Yeah , I too would like to know . I'm thinking of taking their 4g and switching from my current Docomo 2g in Mumbai .

Earlier (1 or 2 years back) their situation was something like10 Mbps for 10GB and then drop straight down to 2G speed of 56 or 96 kbps.
LOL.

But I believe that was because the Supreme court had disallowed TSPs intra-circle roaming for temporary period. Like Airtel didn't buy the license for Maharashtra, so in Pune they couldn't offer 3G.
Now they can (they ride on Vodafone or Idea 3G). So perhaps the situation has improved now.

If you live at a circle where Airtel has its own 3G license, then there shouldn't be any problem.

I checked in my circle and its 128kbps after throttle on 4g. Pathetic actually.

Oh ok, I dont use it personally, but a couple friends do, they were upgraded as a part of the testing I presume, so what speeds do you get pre throttling?

Another concern is the data amount. Circle wise they offer different data packs. Mumbai has 3G data packs to 21GB whereas in Chandigarh circle Failtel offers a mere 2.5GB data pack at max and then 4G plans start, max to 10GB. Beyond data pack usage crippling to 128kbps is brutal.

In comparison , mtnl offers 3G 100 GB - 2 month validity plan, I think 2500 Rs. ; In the same amount, failtel offers 21GB. The only plus point of failtel is good network in comparision to mtnl
