Suggestion for Hybrid (Cycle) with Gears

Hi Guys,
So I am thinkng to take a new cycle, primarily as a hobby. This will be my first gear cycle and I have a strict budget of 12k. My height is around 5.6 so a frame size of 16-18 and tyre size of 27.5 is what I am looking for. The cycle will be used in Mumbai, so you know the road conditions
After going through many reviews and blogs, have shortlisted these two:

Preference 1: https://www.amazon.in/dp/B09DVZTX28...STXHL26Z&psc=1&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it
Preference 2: https://www.amazon.in/Amazon-Brand-...d=1689030155&sprefix=syma,aps,230&sr=8-3&th=1
Preference 3: https://www.amazon.in/Lifelong-27-5...=1689030201&sprefix=lifelong+,aps,341&sr=8-19
Preference 4: https://www.amazon.in/Lifelong-Free...d=1689030201&sprefix=lifelong+,aps,341&sr=8-5

If you guys have any suggestions, please feel free to add! Any tips, offers, etc, are most welcome!

I am looking to purchase it during prime days !!!

(Keep flowing your suggestions but dont make me more confused :what?:)

MTB is meant for riding off road. If you are going to ride in city, there is absolutely no point in buying MTB. On normal roads or roads with ups and downs, MTB will drain your energy much faster. Up your budget just a little bit and check Firefox Athelio. I have BTWIN Rockrider ST520 and every time I ride it on Bangalore roads, I curse myself for not getting a hybrid road bike. I got this bike thinking of Bangalore road conditions and it was a mistake. It is hard to go beyond 18kmph as this fatty is hard to navigate ups and downs. Even on plain roads, a road or hybrid bike is lot more enjoyable.

Coming to brands. Buying a bicycle is not like buying a phone. It requires regular care and servicing, For geared bicycle, if Deraileur if not tuned properly, chain will slip a lot. Go to Firefox or reputed multi brand bicycle stores in your city and purchase one that is most comfortable and easy to ride for you. Also, make sure that when you give it for service, you give it to mechanic who knows his shit.

Do not go for one that gives more features. These generic brands suck when it comes to setup of gears. The biggest difference is weight and life of frame. Those Lifelong bikes weight bloody 21kgs. Compare that to Firefox Athelio the weighs 14kgs. Athelio will also have better frame quality. Even the Urban terrain one weighs good 2kgs more than the Athelio.

Road bikes: Fastest of call, pricey, street kings.
Hybrid bikes: VFM, easier to pedal, faster, ideal for city rides and rides on road.
MTB: Slowest of all, low cost, off-road kings.

Thank you for your guidance and I completely agree with it as well!
Firefox Athelio is bit stretched for my budget, do you have any other suggestion to go for ?
Also which frame and type size would be good for my height?

That depends a lot on your torso, arm and leg length. There is only one way to go. Go, try and take suggestion from helper in store. Check Bad Attitude 8 and Spirit X. There are many other brands that are very good. Find good local cycling groups (FB or Strava) and check which ones have good service. For accessories, check Bumsonthesaddle store. Avoid Decathlon. Their tuning is so bad that I had to go to nearby cycle mechanic to tune Deraileur. Gave for full service and they made it so bad that there are lot of shifts that miss (eg: rear upshift from 3 goes to 5 and sometime it does nothing). I have to find a good mechanic near my place as the one earlier moved from here.

List of brands I would avoid:
  1. Decthlon/Btwin
  2. BSA
  3. Hercules
  4. Hero
  5. Generic brands.
Check these two brands first:
  1. Firefox
  2. Montra

DO NOT BUY IN A HURRY. This is something that is just like a bike or car. Get the wrong one and you will suffer every single km you go. You will suffer every time it requires a service.

Ok, So I went to a Firefox dealer today and I came to know that they take advance orders for Firefox cycles and none was available for demo! (Mumbai, Goregaon)
Now, with this, the only option is to purchase online!
Let me know if someone can help me to finalise anyone from the below:

Hey, I have a Firefox cycle (Viper) and I use it sometimes. It broke the rear gear and when I took it to repair in my local area it was found that they use some Chinese gear not even branded and then I replaced that with a Hero one which is working fine now. I would not recommend Firefox in general as they are imported from China and the quality control is very bad.

My friend got https://fittripbikes.com/product/snyper-221-27-5/ and is very happy with the purchase.
