Should i buy Sony VPCEG17FG @ 35k?

My sister will be starting her MBA course and will be needing a laptop for the course.
She needs it urgently and i have looked at this laptop

Sony VAIO E Series VPCEG17FG at flipkart.com for 35.2k.

Should i buy the laptop online or from a retail shop like vijay sales as there wont be much of a price difference.

If there is any problem with the laptop in future will a retail purchase be more helpful.

No, it won't matter if you buy it online or from a retailer. You will get the same support. :)

BTW, do get the extended warranty on it for Rs.2490. You can check the thread in my sig for more info. And basically the thing is, on Vaios you get 5-7% discount, so if u can find a good dealer that can give you a 5% or greater discount then its beneficial.

The model you mentioned can be had for as low as 34k.

dont go for this one. The GT410M Gpu it has performs similar to intel igp. So get the newer sony model with 2nd gen i3 2310m for29.3k.

Its for his sister and I doubt she will play any games. The Core i5 will provide better performance so I suggested to go ahead with EG17.

Don't you agree ?
