Does anyone know average price for 250GB or larger SATA HD with 16MB buffer(any make) in Bangalore ?.

a friend of mine says 3k for Western Digital 250GB with 16MB cache, around 4k for 320GB WD and 2700 for Segate 8MB cache.

got new WD 320GB @ 3k and Hitachi 250GB @ 2k(both 7200rpm, 16MB cache) thru a friend, though i had to wait 2 weeks, patience is a virtue, indeed. :clap: :clap:

yep Hitachi 250GB @ 2k, err WD 320GB is 3.5k, not 3k :ashamed: . No idea from where this guy gets stuff at that price (might be stealing from the manufacturer :rofl: or buying off from newegg ?, i dunno and he aint telling.)

true power are u sure abt this prices...becoz earlier i saw same price like this on this forum..later came to knew the dealer charged bomb in another item to the guy for giving that cheap

magnet, a friend of mine brought it for me, prices are almost identical to newegg prices(may be thats why i had to wait 2 weeks) or may be he got his 80 or 160gig rma'd and got 250gig instead. anyway both were unopened and no bills :huh: .

Got a quote from s.p. road in Bangy this weekend, they say 320GB SATA SEAGATE is 3.2K. WD will be +/- 100

i think is mostly 8mb .

mine are 16mb ones, WD 320AAKS & Hitachi T7K500(PATA models 8MB & SATA's 16MB).

On my last visit to lamington, I went to WD authorized dealer shop... got 3700 quote for WD 320GB SATA2 16mb drive (model: WD3200AAKS)
