PC Peripherals Printer Port Dilemma

My friend got samsumg ml 4600 laserjet in his office which is connected by parallel port of say system A,system A is shared in lan with other computer so the print works from all the systems now the pblm is parallel port cable has been damaged :(
but luckly the printer got usb cable support too :) .Is it behaves same after connecting the USB cable
(i mean printer must print from other systems too when connected with the usb)
has he has to reinstall drivers?i a bit confused here not sure of it :no: so help is required ASAP

Yes, connecting it via USB will still allow you to share the printer over the network.

As to reinstalling the drivers, I'm not sure.. but it doesn't hurt to have the drivers on hand :) (Windows will anyway ask you for the drivers, if it does need it)
