Hi guys,

this new problem has developed in my PC. it turns itself off every now and then without notice. with seemingly no patterns and with complete unpredictability.
the temperatures seem to be fine. if i try to switch it on immediately after it turns off, it doesnt start. however, if i wait for 2-3 mins, then it does. if there was a problem with temperatures i dont think i would be able to start it again within 2 minutes like i can. sometimes this problem happens every 1 hour, sometimes all goes well for an entire day.
i dont think there are any viruses.
cant figure out what the problem is. need help. i have a feeling it might be the power supply. but how do i confirm this?
any ideas/suggestions?
much appreciated. thanks!!

Looks like the power supply.
Try unplugging the 4850 and running on IGP to see if its overloaded.
Otherwise reassemble the system to rule out any possible short circuits.

Just an additional note, its possible for temperatures to drop off within 2 minutes.

Too confirm, just the plug the psu on other pc and check thing going correct.
Last month my psu fried because of voltages keeps on varying. So, do you have any power supply problem.

First check motherboard if any capacitor leakage or bump on capacitor top.
Clean dust inside cabinet, over mother board, heatsink & hdd.
Check PSU though you have SeaSonic 380w
3rd Earthing- check with help of efficient electrician
