Storage Solutions Original MCC 004 media?..or fake?

Last day i needed a few blank dvd's and i had gone to a local shop and bought 10 blank discs branded "rainbow" for 10 bucks each.

I needed them to send over some large data, but I was surprised to see the disc give some very nice burns :O

I used DVD identifier and it returned this..

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

[ DVD Identifier V5.0.1 - DVD Identifier - Your DVD, HD DVD & Blu-ray Companion ]

The outer hub code says ZD9191-DVR-T47D

So what do you think..is this original MCC-004 media? features do match..

If it is..should i go out and immediately buy 10-15 more? :eek:hyeah:

This would be a cheap make from China with a MCC Media code (for compatibility purpose)

If u mean to use these dics for archival purpose, dont buy them
Instead go for some branded discs like Sony, MB or HP

guys it appears to be an MBI Verbatim..

first thing i do tomorrow, go out and buy a spindle..:eek:hyeah:

verbatim at 10 bucks..sheesh:tongue:

i'll say the scans are better than average..
one thing is worth noting here is the lack of much difference between scanning at 16X and at 8X...

For a BenQ, these scans, especially the PIF's are way way above what I get with my MCC 003's at 100-200

What speed did you burn em? try burning a batch at lower speeds...say 8x
