I am running Win XP SP2 on my system.
Is there any need to install the SMBus drivers from nVidia?
Reason am asking is that today after installing these drivers, folder access time has increased dramatically. Used to be instant but now it takes upto 1-2 seconds for a folder to open :huh:
Specs
ASUS A8N-E with X2 3800+
Driver Package Version 6.86
Also, I have two PCI cards, SB Live 5.1 & Pinnacle TV tuner card. Both work fine without these drivers. So are these SMBus drivers important to install? Whats their function exactly?

Tried with the older version of drivers, same problem.
