System Config :-

C2D : E6400 - 2.13 Ghz
MB :- Gigabyte G41 Combo
2 GB DDR 2 RAM
SMPS :- Seasonic S12II 430 W.

Need suggestion between : Sapphire/MSI 7770( Rs. 8300) or MSI 550 GTX Cyclone II. ( Rs. 8200 )

Any one using any of these card on above mention MB; Are there any compatibility issues; as MB is PCI E 1.1.

@far cry You'd go for Sapphire HD6850-9k,You'd get better performance than GTX550Ti,Unfortunately latest HD7*** OR GTX6** series GPU won't work with your mobo,Cause the PCI E 3.0 GPU are not compatible with PCI E 1.1,So go with sapphire HD6850 here's comparison-AnandTech - Bench - GPU12,Hope this helps.:)

Jacob; As per wikipedia :- PCI Express 3.0 Base specification revision 3.0 was made available in November 2010, after multiple delays. In August 2007, PCI-SIG announced that PCI Express 3.0 would carry a bit rate of 8 gigatransfers per second (GT/s), and that it would be backward compatible with existing PCIe implementations.

Don't want to go 6850 at first place as power consumption is quite high as compared 7770.
Anyone using PCI 3.0 Card on an older MB; Please suggest.

Well looking at AMD website the HD7770 GPU system requirement doesn't show PCI E 2.0 necessarily.PCIE 3.0 is backward compatible with PCIE 2.0,So reading few things shows that it'd work with PCIe 1.1,The other point is HD6850 and HD7770 perform mostly the same,
hD6850 performs better than HD7770 in some games. For the power consumption part,You'd be fine with either HD6850 OR HD7770,Your Seasonic S12ii 430W would be able to handle it easily.

far cry You seriously need to upgrade your processor, if you're looking for decent gaming performance. As recommended by Jakob go for either HD 6850 or HD 7770. I would personally recommend the HD 7770 purely because it consumes less power. But buying either one would be a bottleneck, if you do not upgrade your CPU.
