PC Peripherals Need new Keyboard for HTPC

Hi guys,

I am looking for a media centre keyboard. My requirements for a HTPC keyboard are as follows

Will mostly be using it on my lap sitting on the sofa, should be light
Wireless
Built-in mouse/touchpad
Low maintenance, don’t want to sit all day cleaning it
Should have media centre keys
Budget 3-8k :p

Here are some which I have found

Microsoft Media Centre Keyboard

I have used this keyboard,
Pros
Cheap
Light
Has all the features needed for using media centre
Spill resistant
Cons
The mouse pointer thingy sucks
Volume keys are problematic
Need IR receiver from Microsoft
IR sometimes gives problems, needs line of sight

Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 7000

Looks good
Bluetooth
Has all the features needed for using media centre

Cons
No mouse inbuilt, however an external wireless laser mouse is present
Not sure about the price locally

Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000

Pros
Looks great
Bluetooth
Look good in black (I think its not available in black :()
Backlit keys

Cons
No mouse inbuilt, however an external wireless laser mouse is present
Extremely expensive
The keys get ruined after sometime

Logitech DiNovo Edge

Pros
Looks brilliant
Inbuilt touchpad
Bluetooth
Cons
Expensive
Dust and fingerprint magnet

Logitech DiNovo Mini

Pros
Bluetooth
Dust cover
Cons
Too Small
Expensive
Did I mention it’s a bit small?
Ok now, I am not sure the prices or the availability of the keyboards in India.
Does anyone know the prices of any of these keyboards in India?
Getting them thru KMD will be the only option
Anyone know of any other keyboard for HTPCs?
Any other pros/cons I have not though off... please comment :)

The Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop Keyboard 7000 does have an inbuilt mouse. In the pic, immediately below the grey band with the Microsoft logo you have the "buttons" on the left and the touchpad on the right. I have one and it's very well built; however, it's a little too bulky for HTPC use.

dinovo edge --- +1 for it's easy availability.

What wud be the price? Some websites are selling it for 11K
In the US its currently retailing for 130-150$, so KMD should be able to get it below 8.5k

My only worry about it is the plexiglass on top which will attrack a lot of dust and fingerprints

Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 7000 .. i use this..its good...sleek sexy .. so slimmm

the touchpad thing is okay, but I never use it as mouse is good.

works fine 5-8 metres away.. ordered via kmd from amazon, never checked out indian prices.. $120 something.

@OP: Refrain from hotlinking images please. Use an image uploader like Imageshack/imgx etc.

+1 for the Dinovo Edge. I doubt if it'd be within the 8k budget though.

dinovo edge and mini are available locally...mini is available for around 7.6k in Bangalore.for htpc i suggest dinovo mini...it has touchpad..works with PS3...

Moved the images to imageshack :ashamed:

The Dinovo does not have any media center keys :(

It retails currently or 130$, so KMD should be able to get it for around 8k :D

Is there any other keyboard I am missing here?
