I want a good 5.1 speaker system to use along with my 40" LCD TV, mostly for movies. First I thought of building the system step by step by buying Energy Take Classic 5.1 and then adding an AVR at a later stage. But the speakers will be useless until I buy an AVR or an amplifier.
So, then I thought of buying Logitech Z-5500 for the time being. But since I will be buying an AVR in the future, I want to pair it with a solid 5.1 system. It will become pretty expensive if I buy the Z-5500 for the time being, and again a higher end 5.1 system after I get an AVR.
What I want to know is, if there is a cheaper alternative to use the Energy Take efficiently until I get an AVR? Can I use a relatively cheap amp for decoding and amplification until I get an AVR? If yes, which amp do u suggest? Or are there any other alternatives?

I went ahead and purchased Energy Take Classic 5.1 from Reliance Digital (Bangalore) today.
Can you guys suggest a good AVR to pair with it?
