CPU/Mobo Need confirmation about Intel price drop

I have been planning on getting myself a modest gaming rig in a week or so, but I've been hearing things about Intel's prices dropping soon.

Can someone please confirm this? Or is it a rumor again? :huh:

hey you budget man if you budget is 30-50 k

30k

e2140 -2.4k

p35 abit -5k

2x1 gb ddr2 800 mhz any value ram brand -1.8k

250 gb hd-2.3k

any cabient i recommed zebr biji wihout psu -0.9k

cossiar 450vx or pov 500 watt -3.0-3.5k

8800 gt or 9600 gt stock version -9-12k

for lcd or crt moin you can get used 17 crt for 1k i heard many shop is avaible at ricther street where some shop sell second hand sale cpu ram and extra

or you can stick lcd 22 with c2d 8600 gt

if you budget cross 50k

same rig

but you can get better cpu e8400 or q9450

and some good psu and more hd and good lcd 24 that support 1080 p

Thanks for that info Arun, but i just wanted to know if there is going to be a price cut in the coming weeks :) Thats all, I already have my configuration picked up :)

are you heavy hardcode gamming and muiltasker user but you budget i never hear :|

lol, Arun mate, I just wanted to know if the price drop thing that has been doing rounds, is true or not. Thats all :) And thanks again for all the suggestions towards the config. Once the price drop hits, i shall be making a detailed post on what to get :D Will need your help then, so save it for later mate :)

P.S - Thanks mods, for changing the title of the thread, after posting I realized it was a bit weird :p

Yea probably will sell at a little premium at first so 12k is a fair estimate. the Q9450 would be around 15k i guess
