Got myself a new Config last week from Mcann

E7200 - 5700

Zebronics NF 7050-2100

Trasncend 2 gb ddr3 - 1800

Zebronics Bijli W/O SMPS -1150

Palit 9600 GSO -From Rahul verma

POV Black Diamond 500 W -2600 from Prime.

Could not find the Palit 9600 GSO anywhere at laminton road except for prime which was ready to give if ordered 1 day before for 6325/-. though the gigabyte version was available for 6800/-

CM 460 W was available for 2200 at prime. If u can spend a little more u can go for CM 500w or POV 500W. or for 3600 u can get a Corsair one

check out Prime/Mcann/Sidewalk Computers.. these are the shops i visit regularly..

they will ALL price match/improve if some other shop has quoted lower prices.

Are the following prices good enough?

e7200 -- 5900

ip35e -- 5350

gskill -- 2400

9600gso -- 6350

zebby -- 1200

dude its ddr2 not ddr3

I know the prices of the Seagate 360GB but I have had a horrendous experience with seagate HDD's with three RMA's for my 2 current HDD's out of which one has gone completely kaput after the end of the warranty period while the other is just about chugging along with another 2 years of warranty left. Hence I want to avoid seagate at all costs or at least give WD HDD's a try for the first time.

@forum67

Already have a Creative Cambridge Soundworks 2.1 which I had bought about 5 years back and it still works wonderfully well, so I wil retain that one.

Just wanted to know that if the Corsair does offer a good ROI, I mean how much time would it take to recover the higher cost over the CM

@udit

What is the price of the Samsung SH-S223F?

Thanks.

I guess there are a few more decisions I have to make.

1.Is the GSkill RAM good enough to pay around 25% extra over the Transcend

2.Is the 9600GSO really not available on LR because then it puts the entire config out of gear because I really can't go over 6.5k for the GPU

3.As mentioned above how quickly does the Corsair recover its extra cost over the CM?

same question please reply techies:( the 800mhz ones which one is good for overclocking and how is this ram for overclocking wintec 800mhz

depends really on which batch of transcends you get....

mine can match the gskills .... i have benched my transcends at a max of 930mhz 4-4-4-12 timings which is comparable

Finally ended up with the following rig for around 40k:)

 Intel Core2Duo E7200
 Abit IP35-E
 GSkill DDR2-800Mhz 1GB x 2
 Palit Geforce 9600GT 512MB GDDR3
 Zebronics Bijli (without power supply)
 Corsair VX450W
 Western Digital SATA2 7200rpm 320GB
 LG GH20N
 Dell SE198WFP
 Microsoft Desktop Black
 Amigo 120mm fan

Congrats on the new rig!!!

can you please post the component prices and the shop?

anyone, any idea about Dual Core Celerons availability in bombay ?

Individual pricing would vary depending up on your budget, stock of the component and bargaining power but you must visit Prime,Cassette World,McCann among other shops to get an idea.
