I want to know if anyone here have tried MTNL trumph sms pack of Rs.30/month--500 free sms local/national.

Just to confirm whether it is applicable when roaming in maharashtra on bsnl network or not?

If yes then it will serve me pretty cheap else i will have to spend hefty amounts for smsing when traveling out of mumbai but within maharashtra.

I called their cc but the women seem illiterate and dint got any definite answer. In fact they asked me to go out of mumbai and try my selves whether i get charged or not.:mad:wtf??
 
I don't think it would work. Check out their roaming page here

It clearly mentions the sms charges when roaming in maharastra and goa AND it says
Calls to local BSNL (Maharastra & Goa) Local charges apply as per plan*

So basically only the local call charges to BSNL are applicable as per plan and rest (call and sms) as per roaming rates mentioned.
