Budget 0-20k Laptop Backpack Suggestion

Hello folks,

I need to buy a laptop backpack for my Mi Notebook Ultra 3K (15.6") laptop. The link for the laptop is here: MI Notebook Ultra 3K

The dimensions of the laptop are:
Length: 35 cm
Width: 24.2cm
Thickness: 1.8 cm
Weight: 1.7kg

Kindly suggest a backpack for the same. The backpack should have additional compartments as well for carrying some light stuff like papers, pads diary or an ipad and should be sturdy. The other important thing is the shoulder straps should be soft and well padded. Kindly post links from Amazon as I would like to order it from there.

I would recommend Gods Ghost backpack.

I used one for 5yrs. It can hold a laptop, has a separate compartments for iPad, sleeves for keeping papers or books. Multiple pockets for phones, sunglasses, Water bottle, meds, cables and other everyday carry essentials.

The outer shell is thick and shash proof. Perfect for carrying on public transport.

I had two issues. The 180 degree opening would cause items to slide out(resolved in the v2) and a dust magnet.

Oh man, thanks for this recommendation! Clicked it and already in love with the way this backpack looks... very stealthy and yet has all the space I need.

My budget is 5k but I can increase that, no problem.

Bit surprised with the price of Ghost, when I bought it in 2017. It was ₹2100.

The the other brand from India making thoughtfully designed bags is Carbonado.

Am currently using X14. It comes with a nice harness and offload mechanism. Perfect for those commuting on two wheels. Space is super limited and you need to plan how to keep your stuff.

I don't think I want top-loading backpacks, the Ghost's design is what I'm looking for. I won't be using these on two-wheelers. Usage will be for traveling, mainly on flights.

Are there larger backpacks available which can house a laptop and other stuff in greater quantity, like say a change of clothes for instance.
 
If you intend to add some clothes and travel by flight. The bags I recommended won't suffice. You have to look at 30-40ltr packs that can take 3-5 days of clothes+laptop.

The Ghost backpack may have space for a day's worth of stuff. I have tried cramming clothes, it presses against the laptop leaving keyboard marks on the screen.

In larger backpacks, you have a wildcraft 40ltr one. It came with a detachable day pack. I am unable to recall the model. I'll edit this post if I find it.

Decathlon has a lot of packs in varying sizes, however, most of them are not thoughtfully designed and are mostly aimed at hikers.

My personal favorite would be Osprey Farpoint 40. You can easily carry clothes + a laptop and store them overhead bin. I used this on my trips until 2020, built like a tank with ripstop nylon and yet very light. I bought them for 9k. If you have someone returning from abroad, you can get them for 6-7k. The only drawback I faced is the laptop sleeve is away from your body, which causes the bag to wobble or sag.

Within India, I have not seen great-well-engineered designed to last pack besides wildcraft and decathlon.

Other options if you plan to source it from abroad. Some can cost us an arm.
