I have a question about indian customs rules in india. I along with some more person and planning to start a VOIP business ( providing calling to USA and stuff ). I want to order some 100 pieces of one port FXS voip devices ( like linksys pap2-na ) from some chinese manufacturers. I want to know what happens when ordering at these quantities, how custom charges are levied and stuff like that. I hope some dealer here can answer my question :) .

afaik their are two type of shipment

one is DDP(Delivered Duty Paid) and

other is DDU(Delivered Duty Un-Paid)

If your shipment is of DDP type then it's a door step delivery and you don't have to pay single penny for customs

In case if your shipment is of DDU type then you have to bear the cost of customs. For ease in DDU case you can contact any local logistics who can clear the customs and deliver the shipment to you. You pay to logistics.
