I used to also get that persistent error, over and over again. Give this a try..

try to disable the Windows Customer Experience Improvement Program for good. To disable CEIP, start Local Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc), and then go to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Internet Communication Management -> Internet Communication settings. In the right details pane, double click on Turn off Windows Customer Experience Improvement Program, and then select Enabled radio button.

If this does not work, can suggest more.

Please be a little more specific....what causes the error? does it occur by itself...? plz post a hijackthis log, it might help us find out what the culprit might be.

vista needs spoon feeding for every small and big thingy.

That exact same error I was facing in Win7 Ultimate 64BIT. I corrected it, with the earlier post I mentioned.
