how much for a bar code scanner & printer??

hey guys...
m planning to start a retail shop soon...
so wanted to know.. as the topic says..
how much a Barcode scanner and a Barcode Printer would cost?.. and
if u guys have any idea... which companys would be better choice
bar code scanners can be table mounted or hand held laser one...and the printer i guess would be a thermal printer...
neway.. if u guys have any idea bout these things.. please post ur comments...
