Graphic Cards HELP with new Sapphire HD4850 1GB

Okay,so I just got a Sapphire 4850 1GB for a friend of mine. Installed it in my system just to get a feel for it. Installed the latest 9.5 drivers. Now the problem is that the CCC shows it as 4800 series rather than 4850. And same is the case with Device manager and same is the case with GPU-Z. All of them detect it as 4800 series. Now AFAIK,the 4850 512MB gets detected fine as 4850,then what is the problem with mine (if there is)?

Will this failure in detecting the right card have some performance hits while gaming? :huh: Does anyone else have this 'problem' with their 4800 series cards?

Edit: I am running Vista Ultimate 64bit. And the 9.5 drivers are AMD's official and not Sapphire's.

4850=48xx= one of the cards in the 4800 series . Everyone with 48xx series cards have that. No biggie.

AFAIK, all 4850 cards show up as 4800 series irrespective of manufacturer and OS. Even mine does. It is not a problem.

Thanks guys.I was scouring the web looking for a solution. I remember seeing a CCC screenshot of a 4850 512MB which showed up correctly as the 4850.
