Graphic Cards Help to Identify Graphics Problem

Monitor goes blank keyboard freezes with num lock light on, mouse seems to hav lost power, but cpu fan spins

Graphics card xfx 8600GT

With onboard graphics card no issue with comp

Already mem tested all ram fine

No issue since using onnboard card for last 2 days

only question is could it be a pci-e slot issue?

How can i check if graphics card is the problem for sure........ cause if i buy a new 1 n same issue im gonna get fried

Either check your GPU on another system. Or check someone elses GPU on your system..!

The XFX 8600GT is gone,I think so.About PCI slot,they don't get bad much of the times.And by the way why did you doubt that your PCI-e might be damaged?

I also had the very same problem with my 9400gt and later HD5770. It is because of the PSU (Atleast in my case it was) I am expecting u are using it on a normal/Local PSU?

I used to use my GPU with local PSU. Maybe its because it was not able to draw enough power or something fishy was with the PSU. I bought a VX-550 and then it was resolved.

wierd lil longish beep actually

gigabyte mobo had a problem when it was bought http://www.techenclave.com/cpu-mobo-corner/one-longish-beep-and-no-display-170683.html had to get it rmaed after purchasing it....

n i have a corsair 450 vx so not psu

anyway.... its working fine with onboard at the moment.... am going to mumbai so will try n check graphci9s card on someone elese comp lets see how it works thanks all for the support
