I'm going to assemble my First PC. I bought the following parts from a client of mine who gave it at good discount.

Processor - Core i3 2100
Motherboard - Intel blkdh61wwb3 Intel® Desktop Board DH61WW
RAM - Corsair 2GB x 2 DDR3
Hard Disk - 500GB Seagate
Monitor - Dell IN2020M

I need help with other parts basically the Cabinet. I don't wish to invest much in a Cabinet but it should look good.
Also do I need a separate PSU for the above Spec.

a good branded PSU from Seasonic/Corsair/CM is more preferred to power your RIG for the long term.

Dont skimp on the money to get a better Psu, vantheman5211 suggestion was good!

I don't understand why we need to avoid VIP 400w etc brand while we were use to use same with P4 the system which are more power hungry compare to i3 & other hardware posted by OP? Though I never compare what power consume by Standard P4 compare to i3/i5 now days while keeping other hardware same as mentioned by OP.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

PS: ... but I too went with Seasonic S12II_430w for i5 :)

^ Do you remember how often PC components would conk off with those cheaper PSUs?

@OP - If you're not looking to add a graphic card, you can get a FSP Saga II 350w for 1500.
