Storage Solutions HDD gone kaput

Ok, so today I think my secondary HDD has conked off.I managed to save my data in my primary HDD though.My PC can't boot with the secondary hdd connected.While I was checking out what the problem was, I remember an error showing up during the Bios screen saying something like 'NTFS file missing, repairing it might solve the problem'.So I tried repairing the file using the bootable cd, but it kept handing during the setup process.And, I also notice some weird noise coming from the HDD itself, it goes something like this

*disc spin - beep - rattle - disc spin - beep - rattle*

Its really a shocker.Because it worked fine untill I restarted the PC because I noticed the mouse pointed hanging randomly while I was surfing/gaming.

I hope its repairable, I've got alot of data in that hard drive.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Its gonna die soon. The reason behind the computer getting hanged up is that when you use your HDD for a few mins it heats up and stops responding so when you switch it off for 10 mins and try again it will work :).

try and backup as much data as possible.
