The LG Optimus One P500 now officially becomes the second handset in the country to run 2.2, but unlike the HTC Desire or the Samsung Galaxy S , it comes at a pocket-friendly Rs.13,000. Yes, the specs are relatively modest - it has a 3.2-inch HVGA screen, its processor clocks at 600 Mhz and the camera is a 3 megapixel affair.

So ppl looking for a mid range Android phone wait up for a few days for this froyo laden LG to shop up in the retail stores. Looks like a winner from LG in the budget android section.

zzz, thr is also Dell XCD 28 which is priced around 10k with almost same specs but with cupcake
The Dell comes with an outdated OS and a 2.8" resistive touch screen. The alternative for this feature set is the Spica(unavailable) and the SE Xperia X8 (Smaller 3" screen and still stuck with 1.6), Moto Quench, Spice MII300 (Still with 1.6/2.1 version)

If u want a budget froyo laden phone with at least HVGA resolution then this is the phone 4 u :)

Never forget Galaxy 3, which will also get FroYo update..

LG Optimus One P500 is the most VFM mobile phone in the Rs.13 K price bracket ! plus it comes with froyo out of the box. A great deal if you ask me. Wonder hows the after sales service though.

Just had a hands-on yesterday. For a phone costing 13k, it is pretty good. The touch-screen response was good, navigation was smooth and the build quality also seemed to be quite nice.

^^Nope..Tried Camera though, its 3.0 MegaPixels and looked pretty average (not in a negative way). The pics looked good on the phone's display.
