Graphic Cards Evga 8800gt rma

I had Evga 8800GT knockout edition 512MB DDR3 which died.
So i approached Tirupati Enterprises,Kolkata for rma and they are offering me PALIT 9800GT 1024MB DDR3 as replacement saying that there is no stock of EVGA right now.

So i want u r suggestions that should i take Palit 9800GT 1GB or wait for Evga stock as i do'nt have any problem in waiting and IMO Evga cards are better than palit.
Share u r experience of rma at tirupati and any other suggestions so that i can get a good card from them.

i have three choices now

1. take palit 9800GT 1gb

2. take GTS 250 512 Mb

3. Give 2k extra and get palit 4870 sonic edition 512MB ddr5 with 1.5 yrs warranty only (Is it worth extra money)

Please suggest which one to go for ??

Also how are gecube,powercolor,ati cards ??
 
What brand is the GTS250? AFAIK the 8800GT<GTS250<9800GT in terms of performance although the parent chip is the same.

Palit cannot be compared with EVGA - EVGA is a market leader in high-end mainboards and gfx cards.

I would say take the 9800GT. AFAIK Tirupathi goes, they do have some decent customer service reputation up their sleeve. I had RMA'd my Seasonic power supply and they were prompt in communicating and in sending me a *working* replacement.
 
evga wont come in stock anytime soon. Take what you are getting.

eVGA has been managed very poorly here at the moment. I have my doubts it will be available in near future at all.
 
get the GTS 250 512mb if u dont have to pay anything extra .

@ gannu - gts 250 = 128 shaders and 9800gt - 112 shaders :p
 
So without paying extra palit GTS 250 512mb is good choice than 9800GT 1 GB.

Also if i am able to get HD5750 by paying extra 2k and getting 1.5 yrs warrranty only,should i go for it.

Don't think the upgrade to 5770 is worth it. If you can get a 4870 1GB or a GTX260 216 for about 2k more, it is worth it IMO.
 
Awright, lemme make something very clear. Palit has stopped dealing with ati cards long ago. I dont know how they are offering a ati card to you, probably a refurbished one.

Also, 8800GT == 9800GT< GTS 250=5750<4870=5770

If I were you I would go for GTS 250 because paying 2K extra for 5750 does not make sense when they are giving you a GTS 250 for free.... If you have to pay for both of em, then get a 5750...
