Storage Solutions Easy removal of SATA hard drive

I was looking for a solution to easily swap SATA drives in and out of my system without having to open the case every time. I came across a product that helps

We have hard drive docks like the Vantec NexStar. Google it!

some dealer should get these here too. imo these seem much better than the docks which stay in the open. these fit inside the comp case and drives are locked when its shut. so they are better protected than in a dock, which can be accidentally tipped or can fall down and break.

Yes, a dock is a kludgy solution, plus it is limited to USB speeds. This OTOH can give you much higher speeds.

^Beg to differ. The Vantec Nexstar has an eSATA port and bundles a SATA to eSATA bracket which can be installed to a PCI bkt slot on the enclosure. The dock also bundles an eSATA to eSATA cable.
